Holiday Livestream
Well, ladies & gentlemen, here we are at the end of 2023. Thanksgiving is behind us, Chanukah is coming to a close, and Christmas(es) and New Years’ are coming Up! So, it’s time to announce Holiday Livestream 2023! Our last livestream until February 2024.
Join us from the comfort of your home, or a cruise ship, or a plane, or a hotel (seriously you all are amazing!), on Wednesday December 20th, 7:30pm EST on our YouTube Channel for an hour of our holiday favourites!
Radio Merchant shows in December
Since coming back from cruise ships, we’ve been working in many different musical ways. We’ve been doing livestreams and original music performances as Azalea, working on music for film and TV, and doing cover performances as Radio Merchant, which is our 1 to 5 piece customizable Top 40 band. Radio Merchant has two performances in two different configurations this month! Both happen to be in Burlington, Ontario. Not planned, full on coincidence!
The first one is on Friday, December 22, 2023 at The Block Co. and the second one is at Isabelle Restaurant on December 31, 2023 for New Year’s Eve! All the details you need are in the pictures above. If you have questions, email us!
The People Part 3 - Expedition Edition
Ok, so we know this is not technically a person but we thought this was pretty impressive! Although this photo is from Christmas 2021, and it is plausible that many of you have already seen it, we thought it was worth sharing again, seeing as how amazing this was! We essentially parked into the snow and guests & crew were able to walk down the gangway, straight onto a part of the Antarctic Peninsula!
Deo, Deo, Deo! Another member of the housekeeping team. Hard-working, kind and super talented. We did a crew talent show near the end of our last contract and he did a fabulous job singing, “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” and “The Lazy Song”
Here we have Bruno, a photographer on the expedition team for the Icelandic season. Bruno is funny and kind, and takes the most amazing photos! He also gave an informative lecture on the art of photography. Our photo skills definitely improved after taking his points into consideration. Follow him on Instagram
Liz! Oh, the memories we have with Liz! We’d need a whole other email for that, haha! Liz is confident, outspoken, kind, and talented! This photo was from when she sang Wagon Wheel with us, one night on board, during the Icelandic season.
Ilene & Renato! Possibly the two sweetest human beings we have ever met! This photo is courtesy of Renato because we couldn’t find our photos with them even though we know we have them.
Ilene is a kayak guide and loves her job very much. She was super supportive of our music and we have so many fun memories together. Long live Pipoca! *inside Joke*
Renato is a photographer, expedition guide, lecturer, zodiac driver, and fellow animal lover. His photos of, and work with the apes in Uganda are beyond inspiring. Check out his work HERE.
This is Bob - Glaciologist and all around fun guy! We learned a lot about ice and had a very memorable zodiac ride with him too! Bob is a free thinker, kind, and outgoing. His last night onboard Crystal Endeavor was definitely one to remember.
As with other parts of the crew on a ship, the expedition team did turn around quite a bit. Nevertheless, we were able to get to know many of the members very well, and have so many fun memories with everyone.
To be honest, aside from the entertainment department (because it was small enough for us to get photos with everyone, and we worked with them all the time), these photos of the people we worked with, really just scratch the surface.
Rest assured, if you worked with us onboard Crystal Endeavor, know that any interaction we had with you made our experience that much better! It’s definitely the people that make working on cruise ships worth it!
Ladies and gentlemen, this concludes the our throwback series for Crystal Cruises! Sometime in the new year, we will begin our throwback series for our time on Norwegian Cruise Lines. Keep an eye out!
